Lazhechnikov Alexander (1870 - 1944)
Russian painter and graphic artist . Born in Moscow in a noble family , grandnephew novelist I. Lazhechnikova . In 1897 - 1901 he studied at the Higher XY painting, sculpture and architecture in Petersburg workshop Kiselev . In 1901, he received the title of artist. Participated in the Spring exhibition ACh TPHV (1900 - 1903) , St. Petersburg Island artists and others actively engaged in publishing activities. In collaboration with artist A. Makovsky ( portrait of A. Makovsky Lazhechnikova brush stored in Taganrog KG) organized the publication of picture postcards (1900 - 1910) , which reproduce the known picture of the Wanderers. Lived in St. Petersburg . He worked primarily as a landscape painter , painted still lifes , portraits, interiors . In 1905 , together with a dramatic actor B. Godin organized in St. Petersburg 's artistic development classes , which were taught in painting, sculpture, general psychology and art expressive speech . After visiting the World's Fair in Paris (1908) painting style of the artist has changed under the influence of Impressionism. Member Malvinas artists " Myussarovskie Mondays ", in 1915 in the halls Islands held a solo exhibition . In 1920 he emigrated to the Kingdom of Serbs , Croats and Slovenes ; lived in Petrovgrade (now - Zrenjanin ) .
