Success to Pissarro came during his lifetime , although it 's nothing special for this not taken . In 1903 he sold two paintings to the Louvre . In his last years of his life he felt a great surge of creative forces , finished 57 oil paintings and gouaches . Convinced that Durand- Ruyuel paid him very little recent months he lived with the idea that he wrote only to please collectors
He died in November 1903. His son Lucien became famous and successful artist

Boulevard Montmartre , Spring morning » 1897 was sold for a record for the artist 19.9 million GBP (32.1 million USD).
This work comes from the collection of the Jewish industrialist Max Zilberberg /Max Silberberg, who died in the concentration camp Auschwitz.
Landscape Pissarro was seized from him by the Nazis , and later was resold several times and ended up in the Israel Museum in Jerusalem , whose members voluntarily returned painting Zilberberg heirs in 2000.
