Edouard Vuillard (1868-1940)
Another Japanese Sandrikov idea - and I forgot to make a story about this remarkable artist, remaining for many in the shadow of the genius of Pierre Bonnard.
Life Vuillard, entirely devoted to the art, proceeded smoothly and without disruption.
Already in early youth, he decided not to follow the family tradition, on which men were doing a military career, and began to study painting. He received an excellent education at the Lycée Condorcet (taught there, among others, Henri Bergson, and Stephane Mallarme!), And then entered the Academy Julian, where at the same time learn Sérusier, Bonnard and Denis, and where the initiative was formed by Paul Sérusier "The Fellowship of the Prophets" - a group known as the Nabis.
