Established a new award in honor of Lucas Cranach the Younger
On the occasion of the upcoming 500th anniversary of the German painter Lucas Cranach the Younger (Lucas Cranach d. J.) Wittenberg (Saxony-Anhalt ) and crowns ( Bayern) established a new international art prize - "Cranach 2.0". Contest participants are invited to look at the work of painter and portrait painter of the Renaissance from the present day and to interpret its artistic heritage in a variety of shapes and forms of visual art - painting, drawing , photography or video art .
Prize fund is 6,000 euros. Detailed information about participation in the competition will be published on 31 January 2014. Artists from Germany , as well as from other countries can apply, including the presentation of a few of their projects until September 2014. At the end of next year will be declared winners of a new award .
