Canaletto and the Venetian landscape - over 11 million. Both the lot went for a record for each of the artists money. Picture of Andrea del Sarto (1486-1530), - a sketch of the head of St. Joseph to "Stories of St. Joseph, now housed in the Florentine Museum Pitti. For now Canaletto (1697-1768) auctioneers expected to gain 4.6 million pounds, but an anonymous buyer paid for it twice. The work of Venetian landscape formerly in collection of Portuguese billionaire Antonio Shampalimo, who died last year. Initially, all of his collection of paintings offered for sale, estimated at 15 million pounds. (2005)
