The picture shows one of the key episodes of the Crimean War, 1853-1856 , when at the village Kuryuk Dora July 24, 1854 a detachment of General Bebutov defeated the main forces of the Turkish troops in the Caucasus.
On the right side of the composition shows the prince VO Bebutov - on horseback, hand pointing forward.
In 1855, at the academic exhibition Charlemagne exhibited the painting " The point of Nizhny Novgorod Dragoons at Kuryuk -Dara ," which was acquired in a private collection .
