On the basis of the Resolution of the Government of St. Petersburg to preserve the memory of an honorary citizen of St. Petersburg, the People's Artist of the USSR, Hero of Socialist Labor, Lenin Prize winner, author of numerous monuments of St. Petersburg sculptor MK Anikushina, the State Museum of Urban Sculpture by the right of operational management, the building was transferred to the former studio of the sculptor to create a new branch of the Museum "Workshop Anikushin."
The unique building was built in 1969 by architect FA Gepner, in close cooperation with MK Anikushin, and is a model workshop for making models of monuments in full size. This particular architectural space with professional equipment.
