 BEFORE THE DAWN
  Exhibition "Before Dawn" by chance made up of works, mostly created by the master over the past few years. Some of the things this series has been shown in the framework of international projects, some could be seen in the solo exhibition in 2011. Paintings, prepared for display in the Gallery A3, focus on the most important, in my opinion, the topics that most accurately reflect his perception of the world, being the embodiment of years of creativity and experience.
   The name of the project refers to the coloring of the favorite artist - a wide range of difficult-developed blue, silver and purple shades, but the most significant is the definition of a "pre-dawn" as a metaphysical category that has special meaning for his work.
    Art Gassieva severely and remains so even in his most lyrical works. His genre - tragic, in the highest, "Shakespeare's" sense of the word. Unlike typical of contemporary art provocation, resort to negative shocks as-calculated strategy, the drama of his work can not be called just artistic technique as the most effective way to impact on the viewer. All those stories that are accessed by the artist - biographical facts.
    His work he performs one of the most important missions - evidence and figurative embodiment dropped his personal fate of historical events - the repression, wars, natural disasters, all that everyday consciousness tends to displace the boundaries of comfortable everyday - just for reading news feeds. However, with all the complexity and gravity of the topics covered, it is not pessimistic - it's impossible for a strong man, which is the Hsar Gassiyev.
        Gassieva art connoisseurs appreciate the art world - about him over the years wrote William Mayland, Vitaly Patsyukov, Gregory Anisimov and creative geography is vast - the artist worked in Ossetia and Central Asia, Tskhinvali and Moscow, and an impressive list of exhibitions extends to Edinburgh, Zurich, Berlin. His pictures are stored in a variety of museum collections, among which, as a kind of "quality", we can distinguish the Museum of them. Savitsky in Nukus and the State Museum of Oriental Art in Moscow.
    Unfortunately, in the turbulent life of the capital's art scene XCAP name does not sound too much, but about every new show has to say as the opening of the next - such is the fate of today "inconvenient" serious author, more preoccupied with the tragic questions of life, rather than according to fashion trends or capitalization of the most successful of his work. The exhibition "Before the Dawn" fills this gap and provides an opportunity to see the best of the XCAP Gassieva recent years.
