Patronymic in Russian language are formed under the laws of the Russian language, and not navyvert or hit or miss.
And is there any sense to be offended when in any country you respectfully referred to not as accepted in your home country, as well as customary in the country of residence - that is, I stress, not mindlessly rote kind of shape that is incomprehensible, can someone who appeals to you, seem absurd, ridiculous, and - consciously, deliberately showing respect to you?
My neighbors, the first syllable last names - "Co-" a long time worked in any of the countries of South-East Asia. So the local people of subservient trade mission could not grasp how this could be that before the name of such a respected person is so disrespectful particle (in a local way, the particle) - "Co". Despite all the explanations, they still have altered the name (!) My neighbor, replacing the "disrespectful", "Ko" to be treated with "Y". My neighbors laughed, but resigned: Tradition and respect more.
