Shahin Vladimir (1932-1999)
Born in Leningrad. He studied at the Art School at the Academy of Fine Arts (1945-51) and with A.Arefevym Sh.Shvartsem, where he was expelled for formalism. In 1953 passed the third year of the Art School named after Serov, where he studied until 1955
In 1955-59 played guitar and bass in the orchestra of folk instruments Katysheva.
In 1960-61 worked as electrician, a loader in Snabzapchasti.
In 1961, after the death of his friend Roald Mandelstam wandered from A.Arefevym.
In 1961-68 compulsory treatment in a psychiatric hospital.
He worked as a laborer, raskroyschikom polyethylene.
In 1979 received a disability, and with it the opportunity to paint.
Participated in exhibitions of unofficial artists of Leningrad in DC named Strip (1974), DC "Nevsky" (1975) and shows TEII (1982-88).
