Alexander P. Shennikov (1888-1962) Russian botanist , a member of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR ( 1946).
He graduated from the University of St. Petersburg (1912).
He taught at St. Petersburg (Leningrad) Forest Institute (1912 to 1936 ) and the St. Petersburg ( Leningrad ) State University (1919 to 1960 ). In 1955 he signed a " Letter of three hundred ."
Head of laboratory of the Botanical Institute of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR ( 1960 ).
