Sergei Grigoryants - well known art collector, scholar, journalist and public figure, the owner of a unique collection of masterpieces. For the first time it will give the public the opportunity to see more than 400 rare works of Russian and West-European masters of fine and decorative art from its more extensive collection.
The exhibition consists of two parts.
The first is devoted to Russian art (first exhibited known only to a narrow circle of connoisseurs of Briullov and Aivazovsky, Borovikovsky and Repin, Surikov and Serov, Korovin and Kustodiev Roerich and Vrubel, Borisov-Musatov and Lancer, Kandinsky and Malevich, Saryan and Bakst, - sometimes unexpected, sometimes completely changing the conventional wisdom about the artist).

I have highlighted the phrase that I was surprised at first, but after seeing some of the exhibits of the exhibition, and explained something, because my Moscow friends, colleagues were stunned a few (so to speak) after the name of the section view of Russian art.
Too much, as they suggest questionable things on this show.
