Tsai Minsk on Monday March 2 issued a formal statement in which they pleaded buyer values. In this case, however, he confessed that he could not pay for the sculpture, sold for 15.75 million euros each, as he had no money. "I'm sure no Chinese would not stand idly by in such a situation ... I'm trying to meet the responsibilities entrusted to me," - said in a statement the collector.

The statement also noted that the Tsai Minsk is an expert of Chinese non-government fund to buy it from abroad, cultural values, which are considered a national treasure. Previously, we recall, this fund has already tried to buy the sculpture, but did not succeed in this because of lack of funds.

The bronze head of rats and rabbits were in the Beijing summer palace of Emperor Qianlong (1736-1795) and were removed from the country during the Second Opium War in 1860. Shortly before the bidding group of Chinese lawyers tried to contest the sale of sculptures in a French court, but the claim was rejected.

Representatives of the auction house Christie's had no immediate comment on the newly obtained information.
