In some circumstances I had to deal with this biennale, and I could tell a lot about it, but it is interesting to know, in connection with which a question?
International Biennale of Contemporary Art in Florence - so it is entirely called, held since 1997. and created, presumably, in defiance of Venice, but at the same time to attract tourists during the winter (the event is held in late November - early December). This year is scheduled from 5 to 13 December.
Composition artists of the exhibition is formed on the basis of personal invitations from experts in the field of art belonging to the Scientific Committee and the Internal Committee of the Biennale. The selection of artists is done without any bias with regard to styles and schools categories: painting, sculpture, drawing, mixed media, photography, digital art.
Schaslivchik who received the invitation, are awarded the honor to pay a substantial fee (this year asked 2,700 euros), gets 15 square feet of exhibition space in the Fortezza da Basso and the right to put up to three works.
Florence Biennale allows the artist to choose work for the exhibition and gives each participant the same exhibition space.
Second fiddle to the exhibition of art is art stars arriving to get awards, read lectures, pooobschatsya with exhibiting artists, and, in some cases, to show their work.
