In the past year participated 60 galleries and more than 20 jewelry companies, among whom were Gilbert Albert, Van Cleef & Arpels, Chanel Joaillerie. Among the permanent members were Belgium gallery of De Jonckheere, specializing in the art of the old Flemish and French Schmit, featuring works of Impressionist and Post-Impressionists. Investments in the organization of salon-2008 totaled 3.5 million euros.
On the situation on the art market and shows lower sales in the bidding auction houses - until the end of last year it was particularly noticeable. However, in early 2009 came a small stabilization. It is hoped that by the spring market shake and begin to restore its position.
In light of this transfer of "Art-Moscow" seems justified. According to general director of the company "Expo Park" Vasily Bychkov, who leads Bloomberg, is the first autumn month should all get used to the new realities of the crisis, reports the agency. Moreover, foreign participants, according to him, more willing to come to Moscow in the fall, knowing that the exhibition will coincide with the Biennale. It is expected that in the "Art-Moscow" will take part Diehl Gallery One, GMG Gallery, Paperworks Gallery, Gallery Photographer, «Triumph", "Fine Art", "Krokin gallery, gallery Pauline Lobachevsky and Gary Tatintsian.
In III Moscow Biennale, which starts a day later, will be presented 20 special projects. They will be exhibited at "Winzavod", "Red October" at the Tretyakov Gallery, Center for Contemporary Art M'ARS, "New Manege", in a tower "Federation". In particular, in the gallery Daria Zhukova "Garage" will open the main project Biennale - Exhibition "Against Exclusion", which will present the work of 80 artists from 25 countries.
