The exhibition presents Japanese prints from the collection of the Pushkin Museum im.A.S. Pushkin's works of the greatest masters of ukiyo-e, such as Hokusai, Kunisada, Kees. Art of traditional Japanese prints, with its images, themes and artistic methods, as can be seen in this exhibition continues in the work of contemporary artists in Japan: Kawachi, Kitamura, Miyayama, Hamanisi. Works by modern masters introduces the various ways to access the national art of the past.
An important part of the exhibition are works of Darusenkova - contemporary Russian masters of art of bonsai. They are familiar with the basic styles of art, the artist should not only formal principles, but also symbolic and poetic tradition.
