MOSCOW , August 27. In the capital, 88 , died the national artist of the USSR , member of Russian Academy of Sciences Helium Korzhev. This was reported in the press service of the Institute of Russian realist art.
Farewell to a master artist and the funeral will be held on Wednesday , August 29 , the place of burial is specified.
Helium Korzhev born July 7, 1925 in Moscow. In 1950, he graduated from the Moscow Surikov Art Institute , where he studied at the Sergei Gerasimov. Widely known artist was in the 1950s - 1960s , when his works were presented to "raise the flag ", " Love " and the famous cycle of "Scorched by the war ."
Helium Korzhev more than 30 years in teaching, creative workshop led by Academy of Arts , he worked at the Art School named after Stroganov.
