The entire career of Sergei Alferov is a bizarre plexus different mythologies - the picturesque, residential, ethnographic and metaphysical sense. He was born and grew up in Tashkent, in a family of Russian intellectuals and the rest of his life remained faithful to the traditions of the East, with their fabulously decorative base. Already a mature master, Alferov at the first opportunity went to the mountains - gain spiritual experience. Came the Pamirs, and visited the local wise men, lived in communes - among others like it, seekers of mystical revelations.
As you explore a particular facet of world philosophy Alferov instantly reflect it in their works. Africa, shamanic North, East, Asia, Indian America - all this is reflected in the works of the artist. One mythology seamlessly flows into another, symbols superimposed on each other, inviting the viewer on a fascinating tour of the deceased and surviving to the present day civilizations.
