Epifanov Gennady Dmitrievich (1900-1985)
Honored Artist of the RSFSR.
Corresponding Member of USSR Academy of Arts (1975).
Professor of the Leningrad Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture. Repin.
He worked in the Rostov Museum of Antiquities (1922-1924).
He studied at the Leningrad VHUTEINe (1925-1930) on the faculty at the picturesque Kuzma Petrov-Vodkin, then
graphic - in V.D.Zamiraylo and D.I.Mitrohina.
In 1941-45, working in the "Fighting Pencil", prepares the interior, and the exposure of the Military Medical Museum.

In 1959, for illustrations of the "Odyssey" was awarded the silver medal of the exhibition of book art in Leipzig, in 1972 - a bronze medal of the exhibition.
In 1951-1973 headed the Leningrad branch of the Department of Graphics
Moscow Polygraphic Institute,
in the 1973-1982 - he taught at INZHSA them. Repin.

Participated in international exhibitions in France, Czechoslovakia, Greece, Turkey, Denmark, Norway and Finland. In the Soviet Union in 1932-40 took part in nine group exhibitions.
