Doctor Fiona McLaren discovered on his farm in Scotland now, which in its opinion and the opinion of experts, may be the last painting by Leonardo da Vinci
Cemya McLaren owns a painting from the 1960s: Fiona's father, George, a London physician, was a work of Leonardo da Vinci as a gift from one of the patients. His father died in 1979, and Fiona got the picture as a gift on the 40th anniversary.
Due to financial constraints, McLaren has decided to sell the painting and asked for help to the director of the Scottish Branch of the Sotheby's Harry Robertson. Robertson was very surprised to see a picture of 500 years ago, the cost of which, in his opinion, may be hundreds of millions of dollars.
Nevertheless, some experts believe that this pattern may relate to the school of Leonardo da Vinci. The very same McLaren suggests that this product is a sketch for a painting.
At the moment the picture sent to the Hamilton Kerr Institute, Cambridge, where by 2013, experts should establish its authenticity.
Fiona McLaren wrote a book about the found picture - Da Vinci's Last Commission: The Most Sensational Detective Story In The History Of Art ("The last work of Leonardo da Vinci. Most sensational detective in the history of art"). It is expected that the book will hit stores in August.
