Once started talking , I will say a few words of personal experience, the 70- 80s
 There was demand - and there were appropriate authors. Talented graduates of arts universities have tried . And buyers do not have art , and diplomats (mostly their wives ), which could in bezprepyatsvenno dipbagazhe export . In the hope of a serious lust for gain at resale . And it worked great artists of ours!
Sometimes before you buy pictures pictures sent to the European experts .
)
 If you HC. redbor, appeared at Sotheby's since 23-30 years ago , you would see that the demand for Russian art is just not there. Most paintings of Russian artists worth of funny money. (My university friend bought a watercolor on a scholarship Luba size, though slightly more matchbox) .
 Appreciated by Aivazovsky, Levitan, a few big names . Russian icons walked briskly until V.Teteryatnikov not expose the famous collection of Hannah , hit the market icons for many years.
