What steps need to be taken for the export of cultural property from Russia? How to plan actions? How long can take the necessary procedures?
First of all, if you purchased a certain item and you want to take it from Russia, you should consult with a list of cultural property, approved by the Ministry of Culture of Russia (see above list is given in this section).
If you believe that your item is a cultural value, you need to contact the regional agency Rossvyazokhrankultura for export certificate for cultural objects. As a rule, you should
apply to the territorial administration Rossvyazokhrankultura acting in the RF subjects where you are.
To obtain a permit, the owner of cultural values or its agent must submit an application (application form can be found online at: http://new.rosohrancult.ru/works/import/), attaching it the following documents:
a) A list describing cultural values in the number of objects more than two (in 3 copies.)
b) to 3 color photos of each cultural object (the size not less than 8h12 cm) (for export of archival documents, publications, philatelic items, coins, and Bonistics faleristics the pictures did not required);
a) certified copies of documents confirming the ownership of the claimed to export cultural values;
d) evidence of the value of cultural property;
d) A copy of identity document or a copy of the document confirming the applicant's entry of a legal entity in the Uniform State Register of Legal Entities.
