Transavantgarde
This trend, which arose in Italy in the late 70's. and still exists today, was created by a group of artists who have decided to give an answer to those who constantly declares that painting is dead, and sings the praises of conceptualism and minimalism. These artists have returned to traditional forms of painting. There is a closeness to the HEp-Expressionism, which developed in Germany and the United States.
