Serbian police found a stolen Cezanne painting


Serbian police found the evening of April 11 in Belgrade, a stolen painting by Paul Cezanne and arrested three suspects in the theft. This was reported April 12 the local edition of Blic, without naming its sources.

 One of those arrested - a resident of Belgrade Pekovich Ivan (Ivan Pekovic). Another two persons whose names are not named, were arrested in Belgrade and Cacak. In addition, Blic has learned that a suspect fled from police.

 Serbian Interior Ministry, said the publication intends to hold a press conference at which will be announced the names of the suspects.

 According to Blic, found a picture - "Boy in a red waistcoat." This painting was stolen from a private gallery in Zurich in 2008 along with three other paintings - "Macs in the vicinity of Veterans' Claude Monet," Count Lepic and his daughters, "Edgar Degas and" Flowering branch of chestnut, "Vincent van Gogh. The total cost of the stolen paintings at that time amounted to 164 million dollars.

 Shortly after the theft of the Monet and Van Gogh were found in a car parked near the museum. The location of the work of Cezanne and Degas media did not know anything.
