Most of the published pictures above, I made a wonderful photographer, author of a number of albums on art, Sergei Tartakovsky. It should be noted that the survey of these reliefs is unique in a number of reasons.
First, because of its initiator and author - Sergey Tartakovsky. This is a man who opened our audience Perm wooden sculpture and many other monuments of Russian Art (hidden in the storerooms of museums). He died two years ago. And this shot one of his recent unrealized projects.
Second, the survey gives a very bright and curious sense of presence at the birth of a number of important for an artist and published his first catalog of works. Filming was done in the summer of 2009. This summer has been particularly fruitful for the artist. He created a large series of reliefs in a unique author's technique: the plywood with PVA glue and plaster. Boris Kocheyshvili worked ... no, the place can not call it "garden." Enough open space is located on a hill and overlooking the ravines, woods, fences, and the river far below. Therefore, the expression "created in the open air" fits here perfectly. )))
Many of the established in the summer reliefs not only included in the catalog of the artist, but also participated in several exhibitions
(2010 Signs of attention. Paintings, reliefs, and poetry. Gallery A3. Moscow, 2010 Architectural Graphics Boris Kocheyshvili. VHUTEMAS Gallery, 2011 Identities and reflection. Exhibition Hall of the State Literary Museum in Trubnikovsky lane. Moscow., 2011 on the shore. Gallery Pauline Lobachevsky. Moscow)
And third, this shot was taken in Tarus - a place of "cult", inspired by the work of a number of great artists, poets and musicians (including eminent Tarusyan appear on Marina Tsvetaeva, Nicholas Z and Bella Akhmadulina. Borisov-Musatov, early and Krymov Sviatoslav Richter) ...
I already wrote a bit about my Tarus in the topic, but again a little bit for those who have not read this long-standing position:
"Tarusa - a small town on the bank of the Oka, where he spent many wonderful summers of Moscow artists, such as: Edward Steinberg, Irina Starzhenetskaya, Vatagin (two generations), Bruni, Anna Birshtein, and many others. With Tarusa Boris Petrovich Kocheyshvili binds a long history . For the past 52 years, he occasionally comes here in the summer months. In Tarusa landscape has its own, or with an incomparable charm. picturesque loop of the river Oka (Oka and at that point spreads are very wide) is a major tourist attraction. embankment - a favorite place to walk, begins at the pier and ends with a majestic cathedral square cathedral of St. Peter and Paul. steep streets of the city climb up the hill. All Tarusa dissected descending to the river deep and wide ravines, filled with birch trees and strawberries. old houses with carved frames, chickens and roosters in the gardens and, most importantly, a fantastic view of the river and the meadows the other side - Tarusa is unique, that's why its so fond of artists and poets. Looking at the paintings by Boris Kocheyshvili, written over the past 10 years, it becomes quite clear this landscape, one way or another, reflected in the rhythms, and composite constructions of the artist.
