Vladimir Bogdanov considered one of the progenitors of the so-called street photography. Wherever he was - in the courtyard of the Moscow, Leningrad, on the quays, in the Summer Garden in Minsk, Vologda, - he rented a simple life. Half Life photographer was held in St. Petersburg, a half - in Moscow. And more than 50 years lived in the photos. In 1955, Bogdanov joined the photo club DC Leningrad City Council and 10 years later began working press photographer in the youth newspaper "Change." Then there were the "Leningrad Pravda", "Komsomolskaya Pravda", "Soviet Russia", "Work," and, finally, the "Literary Gazette," which was given almost a quarter century. A happy coincidence that resulted in the Leningrad intelligentsia into a hotbed of democracy and liberalism. The only issue where the photographer Vladimir Bogdanov could exist.
Recognition and fame came with a photo, "It is not my damn business." At the international competition "InterPressFoto-66" with the dog, he became the winner of the Audience Choice Award.
