Kremlin museums will show "Treasures of the Great Moghuls"
February 21, 2009 in the exhibition hall of the Assumption Belfry of the Moscow Kremlin will host an exhibition "Treasures of the Great Mogul" from the collection of the National Museum of Kuwait. The exposition consists of products of Indian jewelers XVI-XVII centuries, collected by Sheikh Nasser Al-Sabah. The exhibition in 2001-2005, visited the British Museum, Metropolitan Museum, Madrid's Royal Palace, the Louvre and other major museums.
The exhibition will show about 250 items: made of gold and inlaid with precious stones and enamels rings, bracelets, pendants, ornaments for hats, precious stripes on clothing, necklaces, daggers and swords, blood vessels, shkatulki.Osoby section of the exhibition will make carved stones -- Large emeralds and rubies. Weight of some of them several hundred carats.
The "Treasures of the Great Moghuls" enables the viewer appreciate the art of Indian jewelry. At one time it was popular and at the Russian rulers - like precious inserts decorated with many items that are owned in the XVII century, the kings and who are now represented in the exhibition of the Moscow Kremlin Armory.
The exhibition "Treasures of the Great Mogul" will run until May 20.
