По умолчанию Portrait of the photo (next Dovlatov)

Once upon a time, reading the memoirs of Vladimir Solovyov Dovlatov, I saw a photograph the portrait. The photograph (in addition to the portrait)) imprinted itself Dovlatov, the mayor of New York (as his name was forgotten, but are all present in his office) and someone else whose name I also forgot. Perhaps someone from the newspaper "The New American," which the mayor just the same holding. But is not the point.

We would like to understand (to know), whose portrait of hands in a luxurious frame behind the masters now. I understand that the photo taken by me from the site http://www.sergeidovlatov.com/new-york.html terribly small and also black, but still ...

I think the portrait is conceived quite original composition that can be put on the trail.
For a start I would like to find a school (Europe or America?) And approx. the time of its creation. Perhaps the story - because portrait of the characters seem to be united in some common action. I assume that the portrait might have got into the office of mayor from any museum during.

In short, if someone has the desire to give their suggestions on this occasion - I would appreciate it. Any versions and guesses are welcome. To tell the truth, I'd like to know who the author of this portrait? I look forward to your help, my friends <! - ~ 1 ~ ->

If anyone has this book, then it can be somewhat more (but not too much)) I consider the picture
