NN Popov, who was born in Samara, GG Ryazhskiy and S. Ya Adlivankin in 1919, come to the city of Samara as authorized Higher Art for the organization of free workshops.
By act of Fine Arts Narcompros August 15, 1919 NN Popov received for the Samara Art Museum of the State Museum Fund 35 paintings for the newest trends in Russian art of the 1910-ies. This first collection, passed after the Revolution, represented a fairly whole collection of avant-garde art, which was to become a kind of "pictorial anthologies for the future of Samara Higher Art. There were works of EM Bebutov, GB Yakulov, MI Menkova, MV Le Dante, O. Rozanova, KS Malevich, AA Vesnina, VM Strzheminskogo, SI Dymshits, Tolstoy and others. Not all the 35 works have survived (lost: write, in the bowels of the Museum of Local History before 1937, three paintings O. Rozanova and "Violin" Malevich).
By 1921, the Samara Museum of the People's Commissariat was transferred more than 100 paintings, part of their documentation is not sohranilas.V currently in the museum collection are more than 40 academic-type work (still lifes, figures of models), most likely made in moskovskiz Free public workshops before 1921.
Samara Higher Art was opened briefly and in December 1921, ceased to exist, defeated by hunger and typhus. "Avant-garde landing" returned to Moscow, where in 1922 a goal from S. Ya, Adlivankin, NN Popov, and GG Ryazhskiy organized a "New Society of Painters" (VAW). At the meeting of the Samara Museum hit several works exhibited at VAW.
