Told reporters the agency writer NEWSru com, first scenic experience came to him almost by accident. "My wife in 1994 gave the painting, bought in Izmailovo Park, she hung it on the wall. And to me this picture does not do the like. I bought seven tubes of student paints, redrew the background and was very surprised: the picture somehow began to play. Then I tried these same oil paints to paint himself, turned out like. Since this all started, "- says Voinovich.

Materials to create his paintings gradually mastered the writer. First paper, then cardboard, then canvas ... Gradually a new hobby so fascinated Voinovich, that even eclipsed the literature. "I literally went mad: just pictures, wrote about three years in a row, never wrote a line," - says the author of "Extraordinary Adventures of Private Chonkin."

Painting brought to Voinovich and commercial success. His paintings are very happy to be purchased for private collections. More than all - over 11 thousand dollars - today sold the work of a series of "2 +1". It depicted the writer himself in the company of Pushkin and Gogol.
