По умолчанию Picture of Claude Monet valued at $ 22 million

House Christie's will expose 4 February in London trading Claude Monet "Dans La Prairie" ( "In the meadow"), written by the artist in 1876, with an estimate of about 15 million pounds (22 million), reports The Telegraph. Painting is a textbook example of Impressionist paintings.
The canvas, which shows Camille Monet, the artist's first wife, reading a book in the middle of the flowering plants in the vicinity Arzhanteya, not exhibited since 1957. He was last shown at the exhibition in the gallery Tate. Since then it changed a few owners.

The current record for Monet painting of 80,5 million dollars, it was installed in London on June 24, 2008, when the hammer went "lilies. A month earlier, the railway bridge at Argenteuil "was sold for 41,4 million dollars.

According to the newspaper ArtDaily, February 4 Christie's auctioned Impressionist art and artists of the turn of XIX and XX centuries, 47 lots. Total revenues should amount to more than 60 million pounds (88 million). Top lots, in addition to Monet paintings are Toulouse-Lautrec, Modigliani and members of the "Nabi" Jean Vyuyyara.
