Restorers working in the Basilica of St. Francis in Assisi, discovered the image of the devil on a fresco by Giotto, according to Reuters.
Told a press conference held on Saturday, November 5, the team leader Sergio restorers Fuzetti (Sergio Fusetti), the devil image was found in one of the frescoes on the ceiling of the basilica, depicting the life of St. Francis of Assisi.

The restorer has suggested that Giotto "like a little joke", while the artist made it so that the devil is barely noticeable. Fusseti also did not rule out the devil in a fresco by Giotto could give the features of some of his friends.
Basilica of St. Francis in Assisi, where the relics of the saint, was built in XII century. The church is decorated with frescoes of 28 written by Giotto and his pupils.
