New York auction Swan Auction Galleries is trying to sell the previously unseen counterfeits Burliuk. Photos made darker, so is not immediately recognized. One picture came from goreizvestnogo Trinity, the other came back with Ebay.

Oil on canvas, Russian painter Vasily Vasilyevich Vereshchagin ( 1842 - 1904). Vereshchagin was one of the most famous Russian battle painters, and one of the first Russian artists to be widely recognized abroad. The graphic nature of his realist scenes led many of them to never be printed or exhibited. Vereshchagin was with the Russian army during the Turkish campaign of 1877. with frame 23 ¾ "x 28 ¾" without frame 15 ¾ "x 19 ¾"
