American artist gave birth to the front of the visitors gallery
American artist Marni Kotak (Marni Kotak) arranged for an unusual performance at the Brooklyn gallery The Microscope - she had a baby in front of visitors.
The birth went to the exhibition Birth of baby Kotak X, which will run until November 7. The American moved into the gallery for a month and lived there in the room, which furnished as a bedroom, reports Associated Press.
In early October it was reported that some of the walls of a makeshift delivery room will be made of glass, and visitors to the gallery will be able to watch the birth. How many people saw as giving birth to Kotak, is not currently known.
It is reported that the artist gave birth to a boy and named him Ajax. One of the visitors gallery, which came into the room after giving birth Kotak, said the publication of The Daily Mail, which saw the artist ate a banana, a father of a child holding a baby in her arms.
Gallery also plans to show video from childbirth, but it will be announced as early as next exhibition. The newspaper said the next project Marni Kotak is designed for 18 years and it's called Raising a baby X. The artist plans to post weekly video about the life of her child.
36-year-old Marni Kotak was known for multimedia installations, in which it proposes to consider everyday items as art. Several performances are based on an important personal experience of the artist - it simulates own birth, reproduced funeral of his grandfather, as well as remembering the loss of innocence.
Recall that in May 2011 in China were tried for the sexual act of the artist and his assistant during the performance sensitive area in the Beijing Contemporary Art Gallery. The court sentenced him to a year in labor camps.
