Omsk subjected to unbearable torture
On October 11, Omsk State Museum of Regional History opened a unique exhibition
«Secrets of the Inquisition». The exhibition, created by a master of Belarus Sergei Nurmatov, consists of more than 50 items of torture the Inquisition XVII - XVIII centuries and brings awareness into the present
Omsk on display represent replicas of guns to torture, which will show all the fear and horror of that dark time, all the cruelty that is being accomplished over the people, ostensibly for the benefit of saving souls. According to the workers of the museum, the most "innocent" of this collection can be called an executioner's ax (butcher), which, unlike other tools used, was the fastest and least painful chastisement.
Visitors will be able to see the so-called "infamous mask" made of iron. Mask penalty was applied mainly to women for the gossip dirt on the authorities, but also because they dared to open my mouth in church. Also on display are the famous "Spanish boots" different "sandals" for breaking a foot. Especially horrify "chastity belt", for both women and men.
The exhibition will open on October 11 in Omsk Museum of Regional History.
