History of Krasnodar - Ekaterinodarskoye Museum (art gallery) began with the collection of Fedor Akimovich Kovalenko, gave the city in 1903, his collection of paintings, books and archaeological values. Soon, the museum became a center of artistic life in the city: twice a year, organized the exhibition. 17-I, the latter, the periodic exhibition of paintings in Ekaterinodar came without FA Kovalenko. Fedor Akimovich died of typhoid fever on Feb. 9, 1919.
 "Travelling exhibitions visited only a few major cities in Russia, but the vast majority of others, even major provincial centers, remain out of their routes. Such a gap in the life of our province is filled only by chance, thanks to the energy, enterprise and love for the cause of separate individuals.
