The love of landscapes taken root and developed in Reindorf still his student years in St Petersburg. He liked best the Russian Museum , where they were working Levitan and Serov. Reindorf recalled that the removal of the soul between classes in college, going for studies in St. Petersburg and its suburbs , even in winter .
Particularly noteworthy are his illustrations for " Estonian ancient tales " Fr.R. Kreutzwald (1945) and tales of Alexander Pushkin ( 1948). These images become a kind of apotheosis of his many years of work in the book drawing . However , extraordinarily fabulous look and many of the graphics landscape , embracing the infinite space.
