Return of "Samson"
Because of the return to Peterhof sculpture "Samson April 16, there may be restrictions in the movement of transport
As reported today, Committee on Transport, in conjunction with the April 16 commemoration of the return after the restoration of the sculpture "Samson" and of the International Day for Monuments and historical sites, there may be short-term traffic restrictions during periods of transportation of sculpture:
from 11.00 to 11.50
- Route: 18-th Line VO - Small Ave VO - Emb. Makarova - Exchange Square. - Palace Bridge - Palace travel - Palace Square. - Nevsky Prospekt - Sq. Ostrowski;
from 12.30 until the end of transportation
- Route: Sq. Ostrovsky - Nevsky Prospekt - Admiralty Ave - St. Isaac's Square. - Ascension, etc. - nab. Bypass canal - Old-Peterhof, etc. - Narva, etc. - Sq. and Stachek - Peterhof highway - the village. Strelna - Petrodvorets.
The period of preparation and holding celebrations on pl. Ostrowski, 09.00 to 13.00 to close the movement of all modes of transport on the street. Architect Rossi and pl. Ostrovsky.
Recall that in late 2010, the famous "Samson tearing the lion's mouth for the first time in 60 years, left his pedestal at the Grand Cascade of fountains in Peterhof for restoration work.
