In August 1934, Elbrus visited by 276 officers, participants in the second alpiniady WPRA. 1935. Detachment of the Central Asian Military District, in full armor made great mountain hike with a climb to the peak of Trapeze (6050 m). One of the few brave women going up Mount Elbrus was an artist-climber, TS Anisimov. In 1937 she wrote an article entitled "Why I love the Soviet Mountains".
