Today the building of the State Tretyakov Gallery in Krymsky Val opened the first large-scale retrospective of Basil Vatagin, the celebrated animal painter, sculptor and illustrator of many books, including "Mowgli" by R. Kipling. The exhibition is devoted to the 125 th anniversary of the master and will run until February 15, 2009.
