The artist decided to radically change their fate and move to Samarkand. Agree that a commonsense point of view, the act is ambiguous - to change the established way of life, to leave a prestigious job, students, the opportunity to obtain favorable orders. The artist believed that Central Asia will allow them to truly realize himself as an artist, will fully disclose the possibility of plein air painting.

In Samarkand, skill Benkov glittered with new faces, his paintings were filled with sunlight, they flowed water ditches and fluttering leaves of acacia trees, zaklubilas dust haze south streets and barbecues. And most importantly - he became acquainted with the ancient original culture and new people who genuinely loved and was happy to write about. Since 1930, he began teaching painting Benkov in Samarkand art school. Many famous artists of Uzbekistan it was his call my teacher and mentor, but Republican Art College in Tashkent, now bears his name. In 1939 Pavel Petrovich ria was awarded the title of Honored Artist of Uzbekistan.

To better understand the new life for him and see all the interesting and unusual, Benkov has traveled to Uzbekistan, visited the ruins of old cities and small villages. His work he always tries to write in the air. Large multi-figure compositions and portraits, written by him during this period, literally permeated with light. But with love, he wrote a small Uzbek courtyards and gardens, where a small pond so nice to spend time in the midday heat. These artist's work and today enjoy an extraordinary popularity.
