Rare Bacon triptych was sold by auction for 37 million dollars
Picture by British artist Francis Bacon was sold at London auction house Sotheby's auction for 23 million pounds (37 million dollars), said on Friday, February 11, Associated Press.
The buyer of a triptych entitled "Three sketch a portrait of Lucien Freud's" wish to remain anonymous. The painting was sold for seven minutes. The price which the buyer paid for a triptych, three times exceeded the estimate.
