Случайно забрела на сайт американского художника, который делился восторгом от знакомства с книгами русского авангарда на выставке в Музее Гетти в ЛА. Он посетовал что не было качественного каталога к выставке и в ответных сообщениях на его пост я с удивлением увидела:

Hi! I came across your site on Goncharova by chance whilst Googling. I was delighted to see your description of the effect that the Russian Futurist books had upon you when you went to the exhibition. It is a very moving description and I think you sum up really well what these books are all about. You catch so perfectly the excitement that the artists and poets themselves probably felt when they were making them.
In case you want to look into Goncharova or the Futurist books further you may be interested to know that I have just published a book about her. It is called “Goncharova: The Art and Design of Natalia Goncharova” – 525pp with 635 colour plates – and it is published by The Antique Collectors Club, UK, but you can get it on Amazon if you were interested. This is not a cynical attempt on my part to a sell a book – honestly!
Your excitement at seeing her work just made me think that you might like to see more in different mediums – though there is a chapter on her book illustrations.
Another interesting book is by Susan Compton: “The World Backwards: Russian Futurist Books”, British Library Publications, London, 1978 – but I am pretty certain it is still in print.
Best wishes,
Anthony Parton
