Held the first auction - Christie was once at a surprisingly sluggish, I do not mean "bad", namely "sluggish", without struggle, without any surprises. The auction started at 10, the first time in my memory that the hall was filled with about a quarter (usually to take the place had come for 30 minutes before). Then people began to catch up, but the hall was not filled. Conducted auction maestro Pukkanen, but even he could hardly stretched out rate from the hall, there were long dramatic pause, sad thought, a feeling that after two years of crisis people milled.
In the middle of the auction was a time when the contract went on lots of 20 some furniture, which has sold only one or two, after which the auctioneer, grinning, dropped into the hall: "f.cking business".
