Schemel, Leonid
(Shchemelyov, Leonid. Genus. 1923) well-known Belarusian artist, pedagogue, People's Artist of the BSSR (1983), Honored Artist of the BSSR (1977). Born in Vitebsk. Member of the Great Patriotic War, was severely wounded at Mozyr. He studied at the Minsk Art College (1947-1952 gg.) Y L. He taught at the Minsk Art College (1959-1964 gg.), The Republican boarding school for music and fine arts (1966-1974 gg.), At the architectural department of the Belarusian State University (1975).
