Portrait of Jerry Hall Freud's work sold for 600,000 pounds
Portrait of the actress and model Jerry Hall works by Lucian Freud sold at auction for 601.25 thousand pounds sterling, informs BBC News. Painting belonged to the very Hall, who put on the auction of his collection.
The portrait was painted in 1997, when Hall was pregnant with fourth child from her former husband Mick Jagger. Painting is called - "In the eighth month."
Also on auction are sold "dollar sign" of Andy Warhol (217.25 thousand pounds sterling) and "Head of Helen Gillespie" Frank Auerbach, who became the top lot of trades (just over one million pounds). Total auction, where buyers were offered 14 items, brought 2.4 million pounds (3.81 million dollars).
Bidding arranged the auction house Sotheby's.
