In Paris, opened the largest in the last thirty years, an exhibition of paintings by Claude Monet (1840, Paris, 1926, Giverny). The exhibition of the famous impressionist artist presents about 200 paintings by the great master. The exposition in the Great Exhibition Palace "Grand Palais". Masterpieces brought from around the world, both from the public museums and private collections.
Two paintings were taken to Paris from the Hermitage. One of them - "The Woman in the Garden" - became an emblem of the exhibition.
Monet is considered the most expensive impressionist painter. Two years ago, one of the variations of the famous work "A pond with water lilies," sold for a record sum of 80 million euros.
