По умолчанию Engraving Picasso holds the record at auction

Prints by Pablo Picasso holds the record at London auction Sotheby's, reported Reuters. Job "Minotavromahiya" (La Minotauromachie) was sold for 1,27 million pounds (U.S. $ 2 million) and became the most expensive single engravings sold at auction. The work has been sold twice as much as the upper limit estimate: originally it was estimated at 400-600 thousand.
Previously, the most expensive engravings by Picasso was working on the same theme: in 1990 it was sold for 880,000 pounds. The previous record belonged to the absolute Edvard Munch: in 2007 in Oslo, his woodcut "Vampire II" sold approximately 1.1 million pounds.
Another Picasso etching, which was intended for the success of the September auction, "Weeping Woman" (La Femme Qui Pleure), went under the hammer for 1.1 million pounds (1.7 million) in the assessment of 700 thousand pounds.
Artist owned and many other records. In May, his painting "Nude on a background of green leaves and bust" was sold by auction for 106.5 million dollars, thus becoming the most expensive piece of art sold at auction.
