The Moscow gallery settle disputes with New York

Moscow gallery Gary Tatintsian and New York Luhring Augustine Gallery settled their dispute out of court, reports The Art Newspaper.
Claim Gary Tatintsian Gallery pertaining to the transaction in 2,7 million dollars: Tatintsyan purchased from Luhring Augustine 12 paintings by George Condo (George Condo) at a discount of 30 percent (from 225 thousand dollars for a picture). In July 2008 he was made an advance of 1.35 million dollars. In the summer of 2009 Tatintsyan said that since not a single picture is not received and filed suit in the Supreme Court of the State of New York.

At Luhring Augustine, in turn, claimed that the buyer breached the terms of the contract - in particular, refused to accept the five paintings, arguing that they were sent late and wrong.

The conflict of the two galleries built in and around the work of Richard Prince and Christopher Voula: Tatintsyan claimed that he bought the work of the Prince of $ 2 million in exchange for the promise of discounts on now Voula. Now The Art Newspaper says that Tatintsyan took all the work and refused to litigation. His lawyer said the lawsuit was necessary to achieve satisfactory for Tatintsian terms on which the dispute could be settled.
