Marc Chagall Museum in Nice, fully solemnly called «Le Musee National Message Biblique Marc Chagall». In Russian it sounds roughly as "Biblical Message Marc Chagall.
The uniqueness of this museum, among European collections of art lies in the integrity of his exposition: her heart - a series of seventeen paintings on themes from the Old Testament, Chagall created between 1962 and 1967. Collection complements the series of gouaches, also thematically related to the Bible, but created by the wizard much earlier, in 1930-32, respectively. These two cycles have been brought as a gift to the French government by Marc and Valentina Chagall (later joined them a few pieces as the biblical theme, dating back to 1987).
The National Museum of the biblical message of Marc Chagall was inaugurated on July 7, 1973. The organization of the museum was actively involved himself Andre Malraux - the famous French writer and politician, formerly of Charles de Gaulle's Minister of Culture of the French Republic. It is for his initiative, a project of the museum was entrusted to the famous architect Andre Ehrmann.

Chagall himself, too, is being left out - especially for its future museum he created a mosaic and stained glass concert hall.
